So I plan to take the little girl fishing this coming Saturday. Not wanting it to be a circus, figured White Rock Lake may be a good place. Having never fished there, wondering if there is a good bank spot. Are the crappie up in the north creek that feeds the lake? Or have we missed the action? Thanks in advance for the responses.

There are some in the creek but its hit or miss, gill netters have been bad the last few years. The spawn either just started or is about to start on the lake, I'm planning on checking it out this weekend. Easiest with the little lady would be near the docks morning/evening or about 9pm after dark.
Eric.

Lots of people fishing in February up the creek in Flagpole hill park... Last few weeks when I have been it has died down. Maybe they are closer to the lake at Mockingbird.

Maybe will start at the opening around Mockingbird and work our way up to Flag Pole Hill and see if we can get on top of some.

1-4 ft near shore in the reed or at the bases of pylons on the docks and piers. They have been spawning for a couple weeks now. 10 fish on average beating the banks with slip bobbers and walking the piers. Most of the fish are spawning in the weeds and reeds on the south west side and north of the walkway near the dog park. Find a Covert where the water runs into the lake. Drop a lure or bait where the water would come out of the culvert into the lake. Then start working the outer edges of the cattails and reeds. Sometimes you can actually see the reeds move as the crappie move around fanning the beds. Keep moving. You can't really sit in one spot when you're on the main lake. There's only so many fish in front of you. My buddy at the lake for about an hour and a half yesterday. This was his results.
