Man! That's a beautiful chunk of a fish!! Congratulations.

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

if you can do that on that lake, you can do it anywhere. !!! flehan

My friend and I are thinking about trying out this lake soon. Are you implying Tthouse is a tough lake for crappie? We've been fishing Granger but have never exceeded 3 keepers... which nearby lake would you recommend for beginners (w/boat) like us? We live in Killeen.

I don't think that's what he was implying, but I will say...good electronics would help a great deal on T House. There's not much cover to fish other than man made BPs. Crappie population seems healthy though.

I would second DW's recommendation. Save up and take a guide trip. WacoKid seems to have T House dialed in.

ive been 4 times, with 2 very nice crappie, and enough white bass to fill a bathtub. got plenty piles marked now, figured out the settings for bird on that lake, it has a soft bottom and absorbs alot of signal. friend of mine drug 50 miles of crankbait on that lake bass fishing and never snagged a thing.
if you want to learn it fast hire waco kid. Dean was kind enough to share some info with me, that would take many outings to learn, just got to go catch them now. ha
