I checked the flow, the gates must be closed.
If that holds the fishing should stabilize in a few days.

We ended up finding a area that was holding some fish and caught quite a few. We had four over 6lb and one over 8lb.

I'll have to say that Saturday was tough in NE Texas, few caught here and there but overall tough. Remember what you did and make it a different trip next time we have those conditions.

Ole Fork has been tough on me over the past year. I have generally faced the facts and attribute it to the actuality that "I Suck"

I'm no Fork expert but I've always been told to stay away from the lake after the Mega Bass Tourney. Give it a week or so to recover from all the pressure. I have a trip out there this week and I'm hoping and praying that has been the issue out there, not the weather or gates being open!

Caught one sight fish Friday. Saw lots of cruisers and some good ones. They seemed like they had either just come up or had been heavily pressured, as they wouldn't sit still. Saturday and Sunday weren't much better. Yesterday was perhaps the prettiest day of the year (thus far). Bass fishing picked up but not enough to keep my interest. Decided to do the lake some good and catch a couple limits of white bass. It was great fun! Many of those females were FULL of eggs. I guess the sandies are at Fork to stay.

It can be tough. Especially after fronts pass through.

We fished Sat 10-7.. didn't get a bite until almost 5...we caught a few in grass with jerkbaits and rattletraps... then as soon as it turned on...it turned off again... tough Sat bite...even at all my local places, I am not getting any bites on anything we normally throw..until almost after dusk, after the sun goes down we are catching a few...but nothing until then...this front is tough.

I'm going to try Fork for the first time in several years on Thursday as long as the lightning passes before then.

I'm finding it really tough fishing for bass now. Monday afternoon I tied on a jigging spoon and caught 30 - 40 sandies out from the boat ramp at 154. Some small bass mixed in with them. I'd rather catch a lot of sand bass than no fish at all.

Fork was pretty tough today and yesterday , went out for a few hours yesterday from 6-sundown and caught 3 or 4 dinks , went out this morning until 1 and caught about the same # of fish biggest being 5 lbs , water was pretty stained though

Fork won today. 4 bites in 5 hours and none made it to boat. Saw no fish or bait shallow at all. Weird day.
