With the heavy rain the last few day, and the running creeks, Do catfish move into the creeks as long as it flows?
Or do they tend to stay in the lake at the mouth of the creeks?

I got the same question. I was thinking about hitting some spots on Fork where the creeks drain into the lake.

They move upstream this time of year. To feed and to stage pre-spawn.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

They will find that moving water and set up to feed. They should stack up at the mouth and move on up the creek. Fresh moving water will bring in all types of fresh food for all fish. From bait fish to the big boys. Plan on hitting the lake myself Sat. Set some juglines and then go rod and reel to my honey hole for fresh moving water.

I'll be on the flats right off of the creek channel in that chocolate milk water right where the current pushes out onto the flat come Sunday. I dread the 1 hour boat ride just to get back there past all the trees and stumps.

You'd be surprised how far catfish run up the creeks..... I've caught them miles from the lake thumb Don't be afraid to try grab some shad and get after it...

If it ain't broke don't fix it...but go ahead and work on it anyway.....

You need to be fishing in the creeks, current flow edges...I've caught catfish from the mouth of a creek, all the way up a creek...Yes, the fish will be there in this type of water event...now go forth and conquer...Just throw your rig out into the current and let it sit where it stops...take note of that spot and try to pitch to it afterwards. If a spot doesn't produce in 10 minutes, move to another, until you find one that works...

Try fishing creeks/rivers at the top end of the lake first....Or get behind a lake damn that is releasing water...
