Haha!! Looks like a trip I took my wife to at Cooper 15 years ago when we were dating!! I was puckered up never so happy to get back inside the rocks at doctors creek! She didn't know any better! Just said I messed her hair up!! That and my undies I guess!!!

I know,this is for the birds. I spent 5 hours driving around last saturday in the wind scanning for this tourney not sure if Im up 15-25 mph wind

I bought my first real boat in 2013, a tracker 175 TXW. It came with a45 LB Edge trolling motor. I was fishing one day in the Governors cove at PK and the wind was blowing me into the bank. I cranked up the trolling motor on max and the wind blew me into the shallows and shattered the prop. Gee it was fun to take my big aluminum paddle ( thank God I had it) and pole that boat off the bank into deep enough water to use my 60 HP motor as those big 3 foot rollers bashed into me.
Now I have an 80 LB Terrova and no longer have that problem. Plus, I always carry a spare prop. In Texas wind you will sure need to have an upgraded trolling motor or you'll find yourself on the bank.

The thing about trolling motors is they barely move on speeds 1-4 and 5 will knock you out of the boat.
