Looking at getting some new seats from bassboatseat.com for my 2008 stratos. Concerned about screwing the back rest to the back wall. I have a gas tank back there and really don't want to accidentally hit that. Anyone here install these? Should I worry about that or is it not an issue. Thanks

Are you sure they don't have clips on the back of them?

I have not ordered them. Just checking on the install. It says they install with 2" screws. Anything screwing in around a gas tank makes me pause.

I used nuts and bolts that I purchased seperately. The fiberglass behind my seat backs was way too thin to hold the pressure of leaning into the seats. How are your originals fastened?

My seats are screwed to the floor through the the bottom seat. The cushion is gel rode on, so it is real easy to get them out.

bb1236, I installed the seats from bbs and didn't use their hardware either. I bought some bolts from home depot and you can pick what size that you want. I have my gas tank behind also and was concerned, but there was plenty of room behind mine. The install was pretty easy - actually, easier than the removal of the old seats.

Are they like skeeter seats and have the the clips? If the ones from basboatsets don't how do they work on Skeeter's? I have a skeeter and was thinking about replacing mine.

I used BBS seats in my Skeeter and used the hardware from my original seats. Worked great and easy too.
