I may be in the west Ft. Worth area some this summer and would like to get some fishing in. Can someone tell me about Lake Weatherford for bass an bluegill fishing? Thanks.

Winter time bass fishing on Weatherford can be a little slow. Docks or the dam are you best bet. Try to find the deeper docks 6-8 ft of water. Suspending jerkbait on the dam can get you bit, but need to work it slow as well.

You can catch perch anywhere out there.

It has bass in it, and some good ones too.

Problem is its one of the oldest lakes in North Texas. NO real offshore cover besides a few rock piles, and its had some water fluctuation the last few years

Great Crappie lake though
