Took the boat out the other day and could barely get it on plane, after I finally get her up she topped out at about 4600 RPM and about 10-12 MPH slower. Engine didn't sound bad, it gave no alarms. HELP PLEASE!!!!

Check your coil packs. I had a 2007 175 Pro XS and it did the same thing. I got all six of mine replaced by Mercury under a recall deal. Been a while, but worth checking out. I thought I had spun a prop!

My coilpacks were just no power. No alarm or anything.

Any competent dealer can check them and tell you which one is bad. It is highly unlikely that more than one coil has gone bad. What you are describing sounds like a bad coil. I had one go bad on a new Merc 300 XS with less than 50 hours on it. They will hook up the engine's ECU to their computer and know in just a few mins.

Check them with an ohm meter. The bad one is the one with the most resistance;)

No alarms and no mifire on the coil pack, just a little power loss. Common problem. Its a guarantee thats what it is. Bring it in, put it on the computer, and they will tell you which one it is. If it was more than 1 you would have substantial power loss. Easy fix..........

Tuner Dropped
pull the lower unit off and look up the mid section tuner will be sitting in the bottom of it.
Your welcome. Then go see Tommy at rockwall marine he knows the scoop on the proper fix.

I lost a coil pack on mine (225) and it wouldn't even think about getting on plane. No matter what I did. Sartin fixed it in 45 minutes and was back on the water.
