Has anyone heard of it before. Was doing some searching on fishing areas and found some info but was wondering if anyone has gone there before. BTW, it and I are in Hill county.

Gilmer is awesome. PLenty of cover. Small little lake but not heavily fished. Be very careful running there... especially close to the ramp and on the other side of the bridge. I suggest you idle a lot. It's worth the trip.

It'll be in a yak rather than a powered boat, but thanks for the info. wink Now that I know about it I think it will become a favorite.

Gilmer is a fun little lake. Been fishing it for maybe 5 years. Lots of grass and timber. Since you are in a yak, from the boat ramp just put in and fish down the south shore starting at the ramp heading east. I've caught some nice fish along that shore line.

Never heard of Walker. Sorry!

The map online has it listed as gilmer and walker for some reason.
