Anyone know of a website with the best price on the Minn Kota Talon jack plate mounting bracket? Part number 1810340. There are plenty of deals out there on the older style brackets, part number 1810300. I spoke wih a Minn Kota representative and they said they corrected some design flaws with the older bracket, and suggested the newer bracket. I know one of the corrections was to accomodate the new Evinrude motor. I am assuming the newer bracket also corrects an occasional lost talon. I just ordered two 12' Talons from Amazon, at a great price, and am now looking for the newer bracket so I am hopefully not the next victim at losing one.

I got the sandwich brackets, when i changed boats I had a jackplate on the newer one so i got the JP mount adapter.

Appreciate the input. Okefenokee outdoors only carries the older style brackets. I have been using Google, but haven't found a great savings as of yet.
