On the AOY and TOY links, find the Central Tab on the top of the page to see the division.
Thank you for your patience

Thanks Ken for posting the results. I was doing the boat captain deal for the first time in the THSBA. Had a chance to prefish the Sunday before with the boys I had from Crandall. Overall it was a really fun time both days we fished. 151 teams. This was a huge event and thanks to all the folks that put in the time organizing these events for the students. Was thankful to be a part of it. ---- Tom

No problem, Krawlin, it is a blast, some of these kids can flat out catch them, then there is some that have never caught them, but they have just as much fun.
My son captained for a new kid we have this year and the kid hasn't caught a fish all season, until last Saturday. He weighed in his first keeper, like .47 but he was so proud of that fish. That's what it is all about, we take it for granted a lot of times, But to see the kids smiles when they cross the stage makes the long days and months of work, well worth it.
If you are interested in helping out, shoot me a message, there is always kids looking for a boat.
Thanks Ken

One of my 2 senior boys last year had never caught a bass, much less a keeper. It became a personal mission for me to get him a fish. (I found this put at the end of the cedar creek tourney) He caught his first bass at Sandlin, where they weighed a small limit. He caught his pb at the Fork open, around 6lbs. I've got trophies on the wall that don't mean as much to me as the pic on my desk of him and his big fish.

There are so many of these stories out there like this. It would be nice to hear some more of them. I know there are lots of TFF members that volunteer their time.

One of the 2 kids I captained for caught his first keeper in a tournament he fished with me on fork my senior year. I also weighed in a 10.03 and we ended up winning and it was pretty cool for him to cause he helped us win. The other kid I had in this past tournament I told him the goal was for him to catch something and he caught that one fish weighed 0.51 but before he caught it he told me it'd make his day just to catch a fish and you could tell when he caught it that it did. And he had a few other bites and he had never fished a soft plastic before and well. He learned a bit about how to drop shot and he can take that back to his regular captain and keep progressing forward.

Thanks to all the boat captains that take their time to take these kids out fishing. The kid that fished with Zack and weighed in his first fish will remember that time on the water with Zack for a life time. I watched him weight that fish in and you would have though he won the tournament with that smile on his face. Thanks again to all the boat captains and all the people from the THSBA for all the time you put in on putting on these tournaments for the kids. All of you do a great job.
