bassmaster,
I was there Saturday. Your closest ramp is either Lynn Creek Marina ($8.00 launch fee), or one of the parks like Lloyd Park or Lynn Creek Park. I've never launched at the parks so I'm not sure of the fees. I usually launch from the Cedar Hill State Park (have a conservation pass) and it does not cost me except for the initial fee. As far as timber - north of the bridges is clear in the main lake. South of the bridges stay between the red and green buoys to play it safe. I don't bass fish so sorry I can't help with the colors/lures. Good luck.

There is alot of Hydrilla now in Joe Pool and although I don't fish for bass, the posts I read indicate thats where the action is. As for sandies two weeks ago I did well on main lake humps in 28-30 ft. with deeper water nearby on a tailhummer. Good luck, there are some quality fish in the pool, my largest sandie was 15 in.

Hey Bassmaster. I would defintely launch at Loyd park. Lynn Creek Marina boasts some long lines and crowded parking.

The fee is $8 and you can get a prorated pass good through March 1 for about $50.
