 Went catfishing and caught....

over 80 Crappie. Tried catfishing in the wind and after an hour with no action decided to hit a couple of brushpiles. Wow were they loaded. Every drop for two hours, bam, another 9.5" Crappie. Did get 7 keepers. It's getting close.
Not sure catfishing is for me. Lots of work catching bait, lots of heavy equipment, think I will stick with white perch.
Because of the wind had to use a 1/8 oz jig head with a tiny #8 hook. With the little slab bandit the hook barely sticks out of the plastic so hangups are rare. Still sticks the fish though. Best color today was pearl. Ran out and used the shad color. they hit it too.
