Well the weightless senco really does work really well. Was out there again today using it with another TFF member that I just met today and we hooked into a few good ones.

funny vid - i was out there on Wednesday for the first time since march - fished with watermelon fluke, caught 11 - 8 small and 3 in the 1.5 to 2 lb range- all in less than 3 ft. on one catch i had 4 others 1.5 poundish trying to take the bait from the other, guess they were pack hunting.

I haven't landed anything really bigger than 3-4lbs there yet

I re spooled it last night and went back out today and actually found out one of the eyelets on the rod has an abrasion and was slowly shredding my line.

So I am glad I found it out now before I lost a decent one.

LT.. I was out there this morning.. I was throwing a watermelon with red flake Grande Bass tiny snake.. or whatever they call it on a carolina rig. I read him to say to fish in 12' of water.. so I stayed out off the point and fished that way.. I didn't have any luck on the first point, but did on the 2nd. I caught 1 keeper and missed one.. they were hitting it strange. I hit some of my places with that rig and caught a few more.. for grins switched to a drop shot using a Yamammoto shad shaped minnow.. in white.. and got a couple more. On the way back to the ramp, hit a few places with the gold rattletrap, and got a few more.. It was a good day!! Thanks Steez.. I promise I won't catch em all. I'll try the weightless Senko up close on some other places.

I believe it the lake is looking better with all these baby bass. Nothing but good food for the bigger ones.

i agree - i saw hundreds of small bass in the shallows.
