TFO Rod SS or TS med and med hvy, Lews BB1PRO and Super Duty reels, Stren Magathin 20#
The same rods I use for everything else in freshwater. Winter dead stick another, Fenwick 7' hvy + TFO's.

I use medium/heavy rods around 6 1/2' and Ambassador 5500 reels.
