The fishing has been about the same for me, but the last two weeks seem to have got a little better. We're not catching any really big fish, but there have been some good ones and we're catching a lot more fish than I have been. Here's a few recent pictures we had about 20 fish in 4 hours.

The water temps have been 85-90+ and the fish are starting to school in the mornings and late evenings. I have been able to find some fish stacking up between 16' and 20' and I am having a few fish around 27' that are suspended.

What I have been throwing for the schooling fish is a Spook Jr (Chrome) and a Super Fluke (Disco Violet) (White.) I am rigging the Super Fluke weightless with a #3 rigging hook.

The fish that have been sitting in the 16' - 20' on the bottom or close to it have all been caught on a Drop Shot and a C-rig. On my Drop Shot I am throwing a Buddy's Custom 4'' finesse bait in (Tomato Purple) and (Candy Bug) with a #1 rigging hook, 16'' - 18'' leader and a 5/16 weight.

On my C-Rig I am throwing a 1 oz weight with a 5' leader and a #3 rigging hook with a Fluke or Centipede/French Fry (Watermelon Red) and (Mardi Gras)

For those suspended fish I'm throwing a Zoom Magnum Fluke (Disco Violet) (White) weightless with a #5 rigging hook and fishing it really slow. Twitch it like a jerk bait. I hope this fishing report helps anyone that is coming out to Lake Fork soon and I will try and update later in the week.

I will be guiding duck hunts again this year -

Thanks, Eric Wright

Yes, these fish were caught on a drop shot. We are either fishing 16' on roadbeds and on the points we are sitting with the boat in about 20'-22' casting up to 12' and catching them to about 16'

Adam's big fish went 26*19 1/2 @9.88

Here's another over from this morning
This was a mistake. The fish this morning weighed 8-8 1/2 pounds @ 23'' Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks Eric, great report and awesome how you share so much detail. I always find these posts as a reminder of how good the guides are on Fork, and how blessed we are to live in this area with such great fisheries. I also find it fascinating that guides like Eric tell us what bait they're using to catch em, and how they fish. In the end, you still have to catch em, and these guys are just so much better than the average angler. Thx E. thumb
