Thanks Robert for the reply! Caught around 10 fish at each spillway. Caught five in Johnson City. The usual spots you and me fished in the past were all holding fish. One of the Bluegills I caught told me to tell you Hi. Side Note: You also missed a great hamburger at the newly remodeled D.Q. in Blanco!

Thanks Bob for the reply! Have you been able to fish any? If so how is the bite in your area?

I'm always amazed at all the places you have found to bank fish Banker and how many fish you catch. Truly amazing. Wish I could do half as well.

I love finding places to fish all throughout Texas. There are a lot of public places to fish in this State. You can also find land owners who will let you fish their property as well! One thing to always remember. "You never have to many places to fish"!

Chuck, Caught a couple of crappie on my tanago fly rod, earlier. Just been too hot 1ately. It's in the 90's by 10. Going to tie some flies this weekend. Try to get up early next week and fish for an hour or two. Bob

Looks like you made your annual trip to the Perdernales! Nice post and some nice fish. Good job Chuck.
Side Note: Are the deep pockets of water by the spillways locked in where the fish are trapped or can they get out? I see several nice pockets of water that looked like they were surrounded by limestone.

Thanks "Gitter" for the reply! Those water holes are anywhere from 3 to 5 feet deep. Some of em hold some pretty nice fish. They are trapped there until the river rises and starts flowing strong. The Perdernales has a lot of limestone areas and they can dry up very fast especially without descent rainfall.

Nice post Chuck. That river looks super! Side Note: Have you fished the eastern side of Stonewall?

Thanks Curtis for the reply. I did fish the east side. Caught a few small Gills. Saw some spots that looked pretty good but it was getting into the hot part of the day. Decided to call it a day
