Has anyone been on the river lately? Waiting on a call back from the fly shop. Where do you start with so much public access? Will be fishing Saturday and Sunday then headed to Leadville and Basalt.

Fished it last week big orange stimulator with the darkest hair you can find. Fish them along the edges also green drakes coming off really strong and bwo's fill the air in the evening. If you get some sunlight big golden stones are still coming off

Haven't been this year, but if you have time to drive and hike a little bit I highly suggest the upper conejos above platoro, beautiful country, fishing was easier and fish were less picky as far as fly selection went.
