Well, just like it was previous said, Todd took me to lake X yesterday and we had a blast. Asked him to not just put me on fish, but teach me how to find them on my own. He said he would teach me how to fish for the price of a taco from the Star Mart, which I quickly agreed to. Hit the water around 7am and immediately started graphing. He tought me things to look for, areas to target when looking at a map, and a couple other tips and tricks. Cant say enough about him, Todd is a great Guy!!! I will try to get a pic up later.

On the water experience is the best and with Todd, better. If you care to continue your crappie education and experience and haven't joined Crappie Anglers of Texas, I highly recommend joining. Upcoming club activities are listed on the home page on the right. Don't hesitate to contact any of the board members for additional information and details about the club; just click the 'Directors' tab for their contact information. They will be glad to help. Each club meeting is recorded and is a great source of information. Current membership is required to access videos.

We started catching fish right off, within sight of the ramp Bryley was quick to copy what I was doing and was in the action in no time! After getting the presentation down, we took off to "New to Me" water and started graphing. I showed him what I was mainly looking for, submerged tree tops & laydowns, with the top in the 8-16' range in varying depths. Although we found quite a few good places, the sun had got up high and had created a strong upstream current. We'd catch 1-2 and that was it. I thought maybe the new color I was testing might be to blame, but when I'd put on my usual "Go-To's", the results were the same. Bryley had to leave just after noon, but was able to take home 15 nice ones But more importantly, I hope he took some keys on how to locate fish on his own for future use After a quick lunch and an hour on an ice pad, I went back out - I'll post again soon
