I have a brand new Shimano Crucial 7'2" for sale. It's the newest version with green blank near the handle. Impulse buy at 169 plus tax, will let it go for $140. Spinning still has the labels and warranty card intact.

Depending on exactly what you want you should look at the TFO Signature series.

+100

I just got a medium spinning version and holy [censored] is this thing sweet! Put my Vendetta and Veritas to shame with sensitivity.

Vendetta spinning: "I'm glad I only spent 20 bucks on this because its not worth $80"
Vendetta Baitcaster: "It's better than the spinning version....." (if someone asked)
Veritas: "It's a nice rod for 100 bucks" (if someone asked)
TFO: "Holy [censored] dude that rod I just bought is &^** awesome!" (pure unsolicited bragging to fellow fisherman at work)

Out of your list (Falcon Bucoo, Abu Veritas, Ducket Ghost, St. Croix, Smoke), I would narrow down to Falcon Bucoo and St. Croix Mojo Bass. I would also add in 13 Fishing Omen Black and Dobyns Fury to your list.

Pros: Bucoo is very light and sensitive. Mojo Bass I've read of good reviews on it, held it in stores but haven't used it. 13 Fishing Omen Black looks nice and blingy. Dobyns Fury has received very positive reviews so far, many stated they were surprised of how sensitive it is (I plan to purchase a spinning rod in this series).

Cons: I've had a Abu Veritas and it was way too tip heavy for me. I actually prefer the cheaper Vendetta and kind of regret selling it. Duckett Ghost grips were rough and some people would say upgrade to the next series.

IMO, I would narrow down to Falcon Bucoo, 13 Fishing Omen Black and Dobyns Fury. BTW, if you're purchasing a new rod the TW 4th of July sale goes on until today at 5pm PST. Hope this helps.

Im really torn right now between the TFO Signatures and a 13 Omen. Ive never held the Omen, just have seen all of the rave reviews on it on various sites.

TFO quality is always great. The Rod felt a little heavy, but they do a good job.

+1

TFO are the best rods on the market for the money.

Signature Series $99
Pro - No other $99 rod can compare.
Con - They are a bit on the heavy side.

For a little bit more $ the Tactical Series range from $149 - $159 and are IMO the best rods made today!

I would go with the TFO or Duckett if $100 is the amount. I would stay away from St. Crouix Mojo unless you need sticks for a crappie tree your making

The new 13 Fishing Omen 2 rods are unbelievable for the money. Fishes like a $250 rod. I also have a TFO tactical that I like as well.

You can grab an Abu Garcia Veracity in that price range with a little effort. The Veritas fishes on the heavy side so IMO a MH is closer to a H. With the Veracity it seems to fish truer to form. My MH Veritas is stiffer than my MH Veracity.
