Great Plains Rat Snake. Nice find. You don't see those very often. I've relocated 3 of them in the last 2 weeks

Great Plains Rat Snake. Nice find. You don't see those very often. I've relocated 3 of them in the last 2 weeks Those were probably Texas Rat Snakes. Basically the same thing, but with all the reclassifications of species, I believe the Great Plains is in the Pantherophis family and the Texas Rat is Elaphe Nerd stuff that nobody really cares about lol. But Texas Rat's look pretty similar and are a much more common snake that is seen.

Also when it was raining so much, I had to relocate out of the wood pile one of the biggest bull snakes I have ever seen, he was about 7' and 6" round and was not a happy camper with me moving him.

That would have been awesome! Bull's are typically pissy, but have a cool hiss to sound like a Rattlesnake. Finding that would have been a big mark off want list. Glad to hear you relocate and not kill every snake you see.

With all of this past rain we have been having finding snakes on the move will be a common thing.

i've never seen a great plains ratsnake that was angry,now the texas ratsnake is like a over 40, woman thats divorced and fat
