Anyone ever fished the lake there? Or kayaked the Navasota River in that area? Stopped by on the way to College Station and it looked like a really nice place to fish and camp. Just curious if anyone had any personal knowledge of the lake.

Ft Parker is one of my most favorite places to camp ! Have paddled the river from the park up to the Confederate Reunion Grounds is a really nice easy paddle and once you get to the reunion grounds the guy that takes care of it is named Jim and he will tell you some awesome stories!I have never been on the lake and never had much luck fishing on the river but is a nice relaxing place to go.

Cool thanks. It looked nice and relaxing. We were only there for about 30 minutes so I am sure we missed a lot more of its attraction.

When I was there about a month ago, the lake was extremely muddy. Not a bite. Didn't try the river.
Saw a guy catch a couple of catfish.
