I have a 94 Pro V 150 on a Aluma-Weld/Xpress H62 that I haven't had any issues out of until recently. Now, I can get on plane just fine on the first run of the trip, then when I go to take off, the boat will not plane out like usual. It almost doesn't plane at all. The motor will not get over 4300 rpms. I've replaced spark plugs, fuel filter, coil packs, cleaned carbs, and have fresh fuel in it. I just don't want to keep replacing parts that don't need to be replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Sounds like you are loosing spark, have a week cylinder or getting weak spark because of bad grounds on the ignition system. Had a 1993 150 Pro V I had to replace the CDI on because of intermittent spark. Only other things I would check is: compression, the fuel lines, if throttle is going to full throttle and if the timing advance arm moving correctly.

Compression was checked, all good numbers. I checked to see if the carbs were opening up all the way and they seemed to be from what I could tell. I was afraid that someone would say the CDI was bad. Is there any way it can be checked before I replace it?
