If you were going to take 3 baits to fish a stock pond, what would they be?

Weightless Senkos, watermelon with red flake,on a 3/0 Trokar pin lock EWG Aaron's Pro Magic colored 4" Robo on a drop shot with a #2 hook Black w/ blue rage craw with a screw lock tungsten weight.
Fish the edges. Most people fish over the top of the bass. Stay way back from the edge... At least 15-20ft and cast to the shallow edge stuff. Weeds, cat tails, trash bags, whatever cover is floating around. Lol. Be quiet. The bass will be shallow where the bait fish are.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

Politicians, baseball players, high-powered corporate CEO's they all seem to eventually let us down. Nature, however, does not. Look to her for inspiration and you will learn the secrets to living a good life. The most Important lesson it would seem is to make sure you spend as much time fishing as anything else.

Have fished the stock tank at our farm for many years and the two baits that catch more fish than anything else is a worm black or watermelon (weightless or T-rigged) and frogs pitched to the shallow cover.

Fish in our stock tanks love a 3"-3.5" grub with a curl tail on a 1/16 or 1/8 oz. jig head with a decent hook and fiber weed guard. Chartreuse salt & pepper and pearl salt & pepper work best. Bait catches all sizes and we have bass over 10# in one of the tanks. They rarely see lures so most anything is good but the grub out produces everything else. Down sizing helps and like others mentioned flukes, senkos, squarebills, spinnerbaits and topwater early and late will all work.

beetle spin, rooster tail in orange glittery color, and hula popper/jitterbug tend to work best on my family's stocked tanks, for whatever reason that rooster tail has been money at stocked tanks for me
