So I have all these newly made jigs and now I have found that they have rust on the hooks (to varying degrees! ) Has anybody found a way to CLEAN off the RUST of the hooks that are not too bad. I'm not talking about half of the metal gone! I was wondering if spraying just the jig hook(no skirt) with some type of spray might help? Or maybe even using Ospho Rust remover??? AND Yes I realize it will make them smell oily and bad BUT that problem I can take care of and is another issue. (Not looking for any preventive ideas or practices. I know what I should be doing but just didn't pay attention and do it this time. So I have learned my lesson!!!)

WD-40 and a stiff toothbrush or a brillo pad. WD-40 is supposedly made of fish oil, my old neighbor used it years ago as an attractant on his soft plastics and caught bass so I know it doesn't hurt anything...
