Is anyone catching anything from the shore? I'm just north of tickey creek and I've been out there for days with ZERO luck.

Hit the rocks, with minnows on any of the bridges. Blues are in and out spawning.

As far as these trail races go (aside from denison)it seems to me the spawn has to be on to make the hybrid striper or whites run back up river.Thats just my 2cents and I could be wrong but if this was happening in April this would be totally different story.

Your right. No fish down there at all. Actually I have slammed sandies down there in November when the gates opened many years back. Food is bringing them up

All 12 gates open and water is sloshing over the tops of the gates. Anymore rain and it's gonna get interesting as Lavon if absolutely full.

Buffalo... Sheephead... And more buffalo with a couple channels here and there... That's about all that was being caught today...

The release below lavon is now just a little over 24000cfs. There will be some fish showing up now, especially if the current stays that high for a week or two.

The have the road bloked off to get below the dam... First time I have ever seen them do this... Anyone know what's up with that? They aren't even releasing that much water

Just talked to them and it doesn't sound like they will reopen it while the gates are open

For safety, or are they just sick of people leaving trash everywhere?
