Anyone know what is going on at Lake Tyler. Last couple of times I have been I couldn't buy a bite except from a 10" Pickrel on a square bill.

The sandbass fishing should be great, grab a jigging spoon and hit the humps...they've been eating everything forage wise in sight over the last few years. Best Sandbass lake East of Dallas! Thanks TPWD for your help in controlling the situation.

I say Fork is better at sandbass. Tyler can be tricky. I fish Tyler a lot it is my home lake and they can be finicky but I thought the dinks were eating good right now. Fished JC tournament 2 weeks ago and had a limit in less than an hour and started culling. Like I said though dinks. 5 fish went 9.63# of course first place was only 13 and some change. There are quite a few in the grass.

Tyler is fine. You just have to adapt. Lake is full and tones of cover.

Was there Monday with brother. We did well with white spinner baits on east working them down main lake points well down into the coves in the morning. The bite wore off around tenish so we moved to the west side just past the boat ramp past the marina and cut to the left working that point back into the boat docks and killed them on green watermelon black flake senkos with tails dipped in chartreuse spike it rigged wacky style. For whatever reason the top water wasn't hot early morning but I'd still go for it. Good luck and let us know how you do...
