 Hook Limit help

Goin to RC.. gonna set some trotlines... is there a limit on how many hooks i can have in the water at one time? Only thing i can find on tpwd is one trotline cannot have more than 50 hooks.
A buddy just told me that he can only have 50 hooks in the water at any given time on his lake.. so what he does is takes 2 fishing poles and runs 2 trotlines with 24 hooks each.. that gives him 50 wet hooks at one time.
Anyone know where i can go to find this info..

Good thing the GW didn't catch me when my tackle box fell off the boat. I had at least 347 wet hooks.
