Just curious if anybody would suggest any spots to sink brushpiles at EML? I will gladly share all gps coordinates where I sink them!

Also, does anyone have any suggestions on which structure tends to hold more fish? X-mas trees, flexible pvc, open to suggestions.

I can provide a map with a grid overlaid onto it and people can chime in with grid coordinates?

A good gesture but I wouldn't do that ...it's a lot of work sinking brush. Use cedar or willows in 8-12' ...look for an area with a sharp change in depth.

LOL. Unless you want about a 1000 boats fishing your brush piles then go ahead! There will be plenty who find them on their own rather than posting the coords. JMO

You will then have people getting mad at you for crowding them on a brush pile that you put in. Im sure it will get old after a while to get hasseled from people benefitting from your hard work.

Thanks guys. I guess I see everyone's point. I have never had real good luck catching crappie out of Eagle Mountain other than around Wall at Harbor One Marina. Even then most are dinks.

Ive fished docks around the southeast end and caught some catfish but rarely any crappie. Tried fishing the docks north of twin points ramp and nothing. Did catch a decent bass there once.

Not real keen on what is considered a main lake "point" or any fishing terms. Thats kind of why I was asking if anybody could tell me where. Maybe the better question would be, What is a lake point lol?

Let me help you out....

Points, creek channels, cuts, breaklines are all "structure" changes in the bottom of the lake...
Trees, stumps, brushpiles, bridge pilings are all "cover" places where fish can hide..

People use these terms all kind of ways but this is the true definitions...

This is a point...

Welcome to the forum.
If you live near Eagle Mountain, I'll help you build and sink the habitat. (*If you promise not to share the coordinates on the world wide web)
cheers

My home lake is EM. My question is about the trees and where to find them cheap. I cannot find any willows. I have gone with xmas trees because easy access. I was also given dead cedars so I used. Help on willows and type of willow would be appreciated.

I live on EM and have put out several types of structure for Crappie .
What works best for me are pvc and tubing type structures that are placed in 10 - 15 fow
On flats but close to channels .
Right now is a great time to "add" to structure you have already sunk, with the heavy rains there are big floating logs and trees that I drag by rope to the area and sink in the areas this wire and rocks.

Yea I lift
