I'd be interested to know what is going to be discussed at these meetings. I wish I could get there, but 5:30 won't work for me.

YHRF didn't know about this but I'm very interested and I'm off work today (but have to get up at 0430 Wed. morning).

On another note most of Jasper was without power Monday evening due to the morning storms.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

"However, of most interest to current and potential future property owners around the lake is a proposal to revise land classifications. Exactly what the Corps wants to do in regards to this is unknown, and they say they want to explain their proposals in the public meetings and to hear public input."

This could get interesting in terms of boat houses and private ramps, Hope the management of invasive species does not include eradication of hydrilla or millfoil.

This is the exact part that worries me. You start allowing people to build piers and nice boat houses, the next thing that will happen is you start to hear complaints about the hydrilla "taking over my cove".

Not having rocks around most of the ramps that make beaching a boat impossible might be a good topic for discussion. It creates quite a dilemma for a guy fishing alone trying to launch or load.

Good lord please don't let them pull an idiotic stunt like putting grass carp in or spraying the aquatic vegetation.

Aw, come on. It's only normal for people who live on the big outdoor swimming pool to want the water to be clean, clear, and treated. I bet some of them wonder when the authorities are going to turn on the circulating pump, skim the impurities, and apply a shock treatment to clear up the water.

Install copper water pipes,
Stock zebra muscles , goby's and small mouth.

Done. Clear water for the swimmers!!
Or leave the small mouth out and watch the spots grow huge

Its nice to not see boathouses and bulkheads. Its definitely one of the cleanest lakes. Toledo property owners have no problem with the grass but most of them are fisherman! Lets hope Rayburn stays the same. Lots of the grass will die this year i believe. Water level is staying too high.

If you're going to the meeting tonight, learn some history before you go. They've been spraying Salvinia at Rayburn for years. I wonder where some of Dr. McKinney's better ideas ended up, the dumpster? Funding, or lack thereof, I imagine.

They need to do something more about it. It seems it's getting worse every year to me. Has anyone seen any hyacinth's on the lake!

Doesn't look like there's any plans for discussion on anything we were thinking.

Here's the outline for the meeting/discussion.
