Anyone having any luck catching catfish on Lavon recently? I am headed there Saturday for the first time. Taking along my boss and just want to be sure it isn't a wasted trip. I thought the higher water level was a good sign, but it sounds like it rose too fast and has hurt the fishing in the short term.

Also, can you recommend a boat ramp on the west side of the lake? I've never been there and don't want to waste time going to the wrong ramp then searching for somewhere to put in.

I appreciate any feedback.
