I hate throwing them but need to utilize them more.
Please give me some key pointers for each of the following....
Spring? Summer? Fall Winter?
Sunny? Shady?
Windy? Calm?
Docks? Grass?

Get you a couple of 1/4 oz baits in white / chartreuse with a single blade, gold or nickel.
Throw them around shallow cover on cloudy days when there's a little chop on the water.
Spring time is best but they work year round.
Steady retrieve, either shallow or a little deeper. When that blade stops turning, set the hook.
you'll like 'em just fine.

Curious on why people don't like spinnerbaits For me, it is that I don't understand the subtleties that get extra bites. It is boring to me to cast and reel without feeling the bottom or contacting structure in some way. Same thing with rattletraps.

Curious on why people don't like spinnerbaits I honestly think it's because of the rise of chatterbait style baits. They have really taken over. It doesn't make much sense to me though.. You can fish a spinnerbait twice as fast, which equals covering twice as much water.

I was never a big fan up until a few weeks ago. Once you learn the conditions to throw them in they are really nice.

I love them on windy days. I can cast them good and far and rip them through grass.

The spinner bait is a Search bait. You can burn it in or slow roll off the bottom. Once you start getting bit on it, you will love it. The bite is real easy to feel. It's like your reeling in and falling asleep then something slaps you across the face. You would have to be dead not to feel the bite. You can fish it in the wide open and through the thick cover. They love it coming off from wood. Just throw the bait. You will be shocked!

I've had 30 fish days with them that range from 1lbs to 5lbs and for me that's all I need to know I like cloudy days or early morning I've stroked them in deeper water all around bait that I always have in the boat

It's weird, when I was a kid back in the 70's in Hawaii, the way my uncle taught me consisted of 95% spinnerbait and texas rigged 6" worm, 5% anything else. I grew up with the notion that blades and plastic were the default go-to baits.

If the winds blowing, throw a spinnerbait. That's really all you need.

Try to keep it simple. I change blade sizes and colors mainly on water visibility. Muddier water = bigger blades, slower retrieves. Clear water = smaller blades, faster retrieves. Skirt colors are similar, white/blue transparent in clear water, white and chartreuse in muddier water.
I do best with the spinnerbait when there is a little chop on the water from wind action and cloudy to partly cloudy skies. Spring is good, fall is best for me.
They key is to bash the bait into cover and don't let the fish get a good look at; I run mine as fast as I can get away with and almost always use a trailer/stinger hook.

There's really no "wrong" way or time to throw a spinnerbait. I find myself throwing one to pick up at least a small limit, then switch up to a bigger size for a kicker. It's a very good search bait. You can fish em' in 1-40 feet of water and catch fish. Eco Pro Tungsten Rapid Fire Try this in just a simple shad color and go fishin'
