Are you going to keep the boat for a long time ? Or do you want to sell it in a couple years. One brand will sell pretty quick the other well just look in the used boat section.

Cant vouch for the PHX ride, but I have conversed with Gary Clouse a time or two. Stand up guy, and personally, that would weigh heavily in their favor if I were in the market. I ran a 96 stratos for nearly 10 years, and the hull was amazing (Earl Bentz).when I look at a PHX, I swear its the same hull. Great, dry ride and very fast.
Skeeter makes a fine boat, no doubt, and I'm sure you could pick both brands apart layer by layer. But I do like the ability to hang the power you want behind the PHX.

If you like chime walk then go with the Phoenix!
I have a 2012 ZX20 with a 250 SHO and absolutely love it, great ride and handles big water with no problem!

I've got a 2014 Ranger Z520C and if I couldn't have it I would be in a Phoenix. My buddy has one and it is a great boat. And a Phoenix you can get any motor you want on it.
