Got a float tube last year and only used it once. Looking for some tips on local lakes (Quinlan/Greenville area) maybe some one to fish with. I was on South Lake at Farmersville last year. Got into some truble when the wind started up and swept me clear to the opposite end from the parking area. I was hiking down the road carrying the tube when a nice young lady gave me a ride back the car. That is not what I was planning on. I would appreciate any tips, places to go, some one to fish with. Just waiting for the water to warm up. Don't have any waders.
It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.... W.C.Fields

I live in Athens and have fish from tubes for many years. I fish Fork once with a guide and could be interested in tubing it with someone who knows the lake. I also have a bass boat and have access to some small private lakes which are great for tubing.

I've been "tubing" for a long time - including several years in FL - gators aren't really a problem. Leave them alone and they will do the same for you.

Just don't use cut bait, liver, our something that will give off a blood sent. I've always had a problem with gators especially in Florida. Once they smell that blood they come looking hungry...
If the fish don't bite your not baiting right...

Get with Jiggin El when he comes back.He is one of the best Tubers on the forum.
