The Ray Hubbard Bass Club had our second tournament of the season last Saturday March 14th at Lake O The Pines. We were met with cloudy skies and light drizzle but it was warm enough to be comfortable. The lake has risen over 6 feet in the last month and it was filled with debris. Floating logs, leaves and loads of pine needles covered most every area of the shallows and made it difficult to fish moving baits. Fishing was tough for most. We had another great turnout of 37 boats and in the end last years AOY Jason Hunnicutt and his partner Travis Reaves took home the gold with 4 fish for 15.04. Here are full results and pictures.

One of the things we are most proud of at RHBC is the number of Father/Son teams we have fishing with us. Here is new member Elliott Davis who fished with his Dad Bubba.



Russell Olds and Matt Jackson are always smiling no matter how tough the day. Their two weighed 3.62



Dale Rettman fished with Kelly Graham and had one for 2.31



Palestine winners Damon and Dennis Machost had these two that went 3.43



James Weir and Jason Hadley had 2 that weighed 3.76



New members John Souhrada and Scott Pomyakal had two for 4.76

Eric Vidal fishing with his Dad Bart had just one but she was a fat girl weighing 4.78

RHBC VP and Social Director Jerry Brown made the rounds at weigh in.



Sherman Franklin and Cameron Laing finished with 3 on the day for 5.18



Joe Ruiz and Paul Villareal followed up a good finish at Palestine with a top 10 with 3 for 5.57



Jim Phillips fished with long time friend Chance Jolly had 2 fish for 6.29. Good to see you Chance!



Finishing first out of the money for the second tournament in a row was Chris Atkinson. His partner was yours truly who proved once again that as a fisherman, I make a heck of a net man! Chris also just missed a check for a big fish. She weighed 5.40. and the 2 weighed 7.09



Finishing sixth were Jeff Cartwright and Mitchel Bailey with 4 for 7.70



If you're only going to weigh one fish, make it count. Josh Mulkey and Joey Evans did with a fifth place finish and big bass weighing 8.91!



Finishing fourth were Jeff and Justin Garrett who had 3 for 9.11.



Finishing third with two solid fish for 9.40 were brothers Andrew and Connor Finken.



37 boats and just one limit. It was brought in by brothers Tommy and Tony Climer who weighed 5 for 12.43 and included a 4.59 big fish.



Here are your winners. Jason Hunnicutt and Travis Reaves had 4 for 15.04 and included second place big bass with a 5.57. Congratulations guys!



Thanks to everyone that came out to fish with us! We are going to turn this thing around fast. The RHBC Open is on Ray Hubbard on Saturday March 28th. We are launching from Chandlers and fishing 7-3!
