Radio this morning was claiming 4 inches in Choke's watershed, not sure how informed the guy was or not. USGA stream flow isn't registering much in the Frio or San Miguel, at least not yet. The way things have been the last few years, it will all go into the Nueces and flow right past the dam at Choke and into mudhole Lake CC.

doubt if it will impact Choke much (or any). Would only be local water. No rain in the headwaters of the tributaries. Hill country upstream hasn't had significant rain in several years. Lots of dry beds to fill before any water makes it to Tilden.

I think you're probably right.

Keep your eye on future weather reports when there is a system that dumps heavy amounts of rain over several days in the leaky area around Garner State park. That is when you will see the big rise on the frio and Choke Canyon will come back up to where it needs to be.

Just one more cast!

I can feel a big bass on a Carolina rig already at choke. When it rises, that next spring choke will be packed

The Guadalupe in Victoria went from 6.4' yesterday morning to 17.5' last night. 11 foot rise just from the rain yesterday morning. It has dropped to little over 9' now but the ground is saturated from the recent rains. This weekend if it rains like they say it will it will be out of its banks (21').

My personal best is still swimming out there just getting bigger. One of these days I will quit feeding it.

Send it up to helotes. We could use it. Or even further up north for the aquifer

If we would have gotten that rain above Canyon lake in the Guadalupe, that would have been nice to. There talking a good storm coming Friday night into Saturday all day. We shall see what happens.
