It's about the water temp for sure. But I dont know anything that says springtime is here, more than the dogwood bloom.

When you see a wisteria vine blooming you need to be heading for waist deep water and cattails,

My plum tree and apricot trees look like giant snowballs and a bazillion bees working overtime on the blossoms. Just a few more degrees warmer water and the frenzy is on.
Got my Slobber yesterday and waiting on my floating light to come in.
Meanwhile I will work on my homemade Bubba Blade from an old hand saw.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

Whenever I see pollen on the ground or on the cars I know it's time in my area! The pollen is getting thick right now here! Water on Houston was 56! Moving up!

'Tis true, if you wait til Skeet trees and Bois d'Arc trees start to bud out it in full swing. 100 year old fisherman told me you can always start 2 weeks before Easter Sunday/April 5 2015 this year, so do the math and that will allow the water temp to come up with a few more sunny days.

All of those things are signals, but it's all about the water temp. When the fish like it they spawn!

Until then I have a glass of wine (or two.....) and watch for the rest of the story.
