Struggled to get 3 fish in the boat yesterday just shy of 8 pounds, missed the cut and caught a cold. Started out day 2 on Fire, 2 keepers in the first 4 minutes a limit by 9am and culled at 10. Lost the 36V system so no trolling motor. We went to move to another spot out of the wind to try to find big mama and boat wouldn't crank. Did some battery swapping and found 1 of the 4 with enough to fire it up. Figured we'd go weigh in early Bc we didn't have an aerator, started off to the marina and got on plane and POP, lost the Lower unit. Either spun prop or pinion gear. Had some buddies tow us in and trailered to the marina to weigh in. 5 fish 5 alive 14.8 lbs. put us in the money day 2 and overall, so there's that!

Was this the Haynesville Shale Classic on TB? If so what won it? This is the first time in 5 years I haven't been able to fish it.
