Need some help. I am new to the area and trying to figure out the crappie on Hubbard. Any tips or suggestions on tackle, depth, location would be appreciated.

Have you scouted shallow water yet? Just about time for the spawn and time to catch em shallow!
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Hubbard has it all. Laydowns, bodarks, coves, rocks, marinas, bridges and rip rap. There are many different techniques that can be utilized to catch crappie on Hubbard from vertical Jigging to dock shooting.
I'd suggest going with your preferred style of catching and targeting the crappie at first that way to build confidence on Hubbard.
If you need a bit more of specific information let me know what your preferred style of fishing is and I'll see if I can help further.
