What bracket do I need to mount a tallon? Thought I needed the universal jack plate mount but now thinking maybe the sandwich style that goes between the jack plate and the transom. And if so can it go between the motor and the jack plate ? Thanks for the help.

Universal works on that jackplate! I have one mounted to my 10" HD. Very easy to install!
You may end up with only 3 bolts working due to slots in the bracket. Steve says 3 bolts is fine! I'm sure only 2 bolts would work too!

Mounting tip....I made the gap between the transom and the talon bracket as tight as I could so tree limbs can't slip in there and get you pinned!

I have the sandwich mount on mine I had the jack plate mount but had to modify it to get the bolt holes to line up between the mount and jack plate.
