At some point of the calendar year you should take at least a trip with Chuck Rollins or Lane Palmer of www.bigcrappie.com

Arguably the best crappie guide service in the state of Texas.

You could try calling the office and see if a spot is open or if Chuck can put you on fish this week. He's and his guide staff are normally booked pretty solid.

I will second that. I've only been out with Lane but I thoroughly enjoyed my trip and learned very much as well.

Bigcrappie.com will get you dialed in on CC. For a different look on another lake, look up Jason Burton Guide Service on Palestine.

Cedar Creek Lake you would be amazed at what Chuck and crew at Big Crappie can teach you. Since you're close to Palestine I would also PM Clay83 here on the forum. He's the man on Palestine.

I'm not sure how good you are at recognizing patterns, so I'll recommend Bigcrappie.com
