Been fishing braid with a fluro leader for-well, seems like forever. I use a 4-6 ft fluro
leader but I'm fishing clear water a lot and wondering if I should go longer.

Just wondered what others are doing.

I like to have about two foot past the last eye and I like my connection to be between the reel and the first eye if that makes any sense, so I guess I like a 5 to 6 foot leader as well.

I just slide my pegged weight up the line to about 3 ft., no leader. I have caught many 7's and 8's on Amistad. It doesn't get much clearer than that. Also fished with many other fisherman in the boat using all kinds of rigs. I can't tell any difference; but I am fishing 20 to 35 ft. deep.

Yep
I like my knot just off the reel and between the first eye.
I use 20lb floro. Don't like the knot up on the spool. Has to pass through the level wind and creates memory on the floro.

I use 14# mono for a leader...and about 2'-3' in length for cold water and 3'-4' for warm water...

Since you are just connecting the two lines together and not using it for CRigging, 4' is plenty long. Anything longer than that can cause casting problems with the knot sliding through the eye. Personally I'm not a big fan of the Braid to Fluor/Mono concept BUT there are times when it is applicable. If you go too short then the lack of stretch on the Braid can cause the leader to break unless you loosen your drag slightly or have a med action tip. It's all a matter of adjustment. But there are times that I have had to use it in deep water when the fish are spooky and minimum line stretch is required. Just use a GOOD connection Knot.

The worst thing you can do is have the connection to where it is hanging on the last eyelet or two, you start your cast with it catching, really can be a pain when you are pitching baits, jmho.
