Anybody beside me and Piper jig under the bird roosts?
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

Well now I'm all ears - do explain what you're talking about please.

White pork rind jig on a bare treble hook under a cork. Plop it in the water under tree where cormorants roost . Blues hit it like a bass.
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

They do the same thing with bacon,a piece of white Tshirt,or anything else that looks like a bird dropping.

Pork rind is tough and you can use the same piece all day as long as it don't dry out. Even a 30lb can't tear it off the hook.
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

There is a theory behind the method.
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Cormorants are the most worthless bird alive except for the digested fish they poop in the water all night long. This stuff seems to be a preferred appetizer/chum for blues and other fish that can stand the cold shallow water under the roosting trees. Water depths usually 3 to 12 feet. As stated above the jig presentation needs to look and sound like bird poop hitting the water. If there is a fish under the tree it will slam that jig as soon as it hits the water usually. After 5 to 10 seconds if the cork doesn't go down, move on to the next spot around the target tree and so on. I usually set the cork from 2 to 4 ft deep depending on water depth. Except for the slime, it's a nice clean way to fish for the whiskers. November, December and January are the prime months until the birds move on.

Thanks Muzzlebrake. Sounds like fun. I've heard about the splat fishing thing but never tried it.

We do the same thing with punch bait. But I like the idea of pork rind.

Wow I can understand how this works . But I hate thinking about whats to come from it. Comorand decoys and throwing duck poop in the water while jigging with fake poop jig. I hate progress !!!!!

So folks are jigging up fish that are probably poop eaters their whole life. Probably eating them too. I got a septic tank folks can fish in.

Out on the farm the way they cleaned the outhouse was to raise a flap on the back so the chickens could get under there to feast. Same with pigs.
