Well lets just say Lake Austin without grass and cold weather don't go together! We had our club tourney there this weekend out of 16 16 guys we had 5 fish weighed in and the biggest being a 2 pounder. One thing i noticed right away was the lack bait, didnt see very many shad balls. I told my partner we didnt catch anything but I managed to shoot some cool pics and video.

-Water temp 46 lower end & 51 upper end
-looked about 1 foot low or so
-current was flowing pretty good

Look at ABF--Austin Bass Forum. They have numerous posts regarding that. Two words - grass carp. Carp have practically destroyed all vegetation thus, fishery isn't what it used to be. Too many carp released!

Ya man I've been a member over there for some time now and keep up on all that, but we all knew it was gonna be a problem when it first started with the carp. Our guadalupe river lakes have went thorugh the same thing, we use to have hydrilla here and the home owners/skiers didnt like it.
