Well this ATC for me was one of the harder ones iv done due to the weather. I had to work Thursday so Joe was able to get to the corn boil early and get us set up and everything. I arrived later that night about 9pm and didnt get to bed till around 11-12 that night. Friday morning we got up at 4:30 and went to meet everyone for breakfast and then at 5:30 it was peg draw time. we got 12th to pick, not to horrible cause iv been at the very end to pick and that just sucks. the forst spots we drew was ball feilds at the end where there was concrete blocks and stuff and the other spot was Thompson's swim by Festival Beach. Thats where we picked and got setup. It was cold and the drizzle just kept comming down, i had 3 layers of clothes on and still was freezing. We fought through the day without anything, switching up baits and baiting up here and there, then around 11am i guess it was i had a run which was a nice 21 common. but that was it for us that day and we returned to the hotel freezing and wet and numb hands and feet.

Day 2 was now ready to start and we was now 7th in line to draw and i told joe i hope we get something with cover cause it was going to be raining and misting like day 1. well we had 2 choices, the Peninsula tip or east 35 bridge, well i said lets get 35.

Little did i know that this would be a great spot for us, i have fished this spot before and blanked but i knew that it should produce due to the previous day there was 5 fish that came out.

now i often wonderd if people travailing down 35 can see our method balls cause i was getting them to the 3rd pilon down the center of the 2 bridges. i was threading 3 lines out there and doing it very well and only smacked the bridge 1 time. There is also a shopping cart or station wagon around there and it took a few of my rigs, but i hung in there and me and joe managed a few fish to secure 197 pounds of fish.

now here is the funny part, my first fish of the day there was a 36lb 4 oz common and that would end up being the biggest fish of the tourny, but i didnt get in on that pot, so that money went to bates brothers and there 36lb common lol. I also got a 32lb common and was stoked about that too.

I had a great time and had a great partner, and im looking forward to doing it again next here, now here are a few pics.

Thanks to WCB for everything they provided and Thanks to Everyone who was involved in the ATC for making it a great one. See you all next year.
