Hey guys I'm looking for some information on fishing on Coleto Creek. Me and three buddies are coming down from North Dakota in two weeks for spring break and plan on fishing Coleto Creek. We are all college football players and we were just wondering how the fishing is and any helpful information would be greatly appreciated.

Unless the recent rains raises the level, it was very low with lotsa stumps. It is currently 4.3' low, which is a lot for that lake. I noted that a club from there fished Falcon Lake in February.
There was a previous thread on this subject, do a search. Also check with falconlaketackle.com for info on Falcon. It is 25' low but there is still plenty of water and no problem launching.

Fishing around the trees does not work. I fish coleto all the time the fish are in the grass.I use a swimjig most of the time unfortunatley we have had a big grass kill for some reason. The fishing is tuff. The lake is very low stay in the middle . There are stumps everywhere. Good luck and have fun... grin
