I just ordered the Onix with side imaging and I have a 1198 C si. Can I network the two units and operate off the Onix transducer? I am also ordering Humminbird's 360. I would like to run both units at my console. If I can't network can I use both transducers mounted on my transom with running into interference?

Onix will not network with anything else but another Onix so far. The 360 will have to be set up for either the 1198 or the Onix, they run different updates that will make the unit communicate with either but not both. If you have an I pilot Link the same thing will happen. All accessories have their own software updates depending on which head unit you use.

You can use both units with their own transducers but not on the same frequencies. You will have crosstalk. And when you run the 360 you will have to pause the other unit completely or you will see streaks on the 360 screen.

I'm selling my 360, if you're interested I can take you out on the water so you can see it work.
