I have a 1983 17" sea nymph center console
It is aluminum light weight deep v
hull is like a Lund but much lighter
It has an 83 evinrude 90 hp v4

Wot tops out at 5000rpm motor is rated for 5500
I have a 1417 pitch prop on it the last few hundred rpms don't seem to move the boat any faster wot speed is 30-33mph

I'm thinking a 15 pitch prop might get me too
5500
but after looking around it seems 15 pich is more for pontoons and the like
Just looking for advice
Thanks

Try a 15 with a cup and raise the motor up one notch.

that 14x17 is what we call the banana blade... terrible props!!!

a good 15p with added cup will be what you want.
