My son and I are leaving Missouri and going to Texas next weekend. We can't change dates due to scheduling difficulties. We planned on going to Fork but the water will be really cold. If you had to fish next weekend where would you go?

I'm headed to Rayburn. Toledo Bend great choice too. Was at Fork recently in the cold water and got some good bites on 1/2 oz black & blue jig in timber on main lake points. Good luck on your trip!

Rayburn for sure. It's pretty much full, and farther south than Fork, so maybe a little warmer. Toledo Bend would be my second choice. Either way you can't lose.

I'd hit lake Welsh (power plant lake) for some numbers and just to feel a tug on your pole and then Fork & or Athens. Or, just head to Rayburn and be done w/ it.
