Blakemore has a patent on the horsehead jig. It is against the law to sell them w/o their permission. Not trying to stir anything up, I was just made aware of this after I made some road runners and was going to sell them.

Always wondered why Blakemore never marketed heavier roadrunners with stouter hooks and a bigger blade. I know the larger striper and saltwater versions have always been used/modified.

I poured them just like Ashley's dad. Small #12 crane swivel in the mold and then attached a roller ball swivel to that and the 3.5 willow blade. Here is a closer look at the swivel. The only bad thing is the swivels are about $1.00 each

That design has been around for ever. We call them pony head striper jigs. White head with red thread wrapping to secure the buck tail. I have them up to 1.5 oz not for sale. Will try to get a picture next week. Friend of mine that moved to Lake Buchanan use to build a lot of these jigs. John Terry
